The Drift Hideaway Book Set is a two book set made for parents of babies and toddlers.
Book one is the Hideaway Book. It is for you. Inside is a hidden, foam-lined phone compartment, so you can send the text or order the diapers while your child simply sees you reading.
Book two is Drift: Journey to Mount Chilly. A 26 page board book for your child, about a sleepy little dragon and his friends who set out for ice cream while Drift keeps sneaking off for naps in the silliest places.

That is where the Hideaway Book comes in. Answer the text, send the email, order the diapers, while your child sees you with a book, not a screen.

Drift Storybook
A dreamy adventure built to last. With 26 thick, durable board book pages and hand-drawn dragon art on every spread, Drift: Journey to Mount Chilly is made for little hands and big imaginations.
Follow Drift and his dragon friends on their quest to reach a mountain of ice cream, if they can keep him awake long enough to get there. A playful, rhyming story full of heart, humour, and just the right amount of mischief.

Set up your Hideaway Book in four steps

Step 1: Check the sizing
Place your phone over the slot to see how many foam border pieces need to come out.

Step 2: Adjust the foam border
Remove the extra foam border pieces until your phone sits snugly.

Step 3: Add the foam pads
Peel the backing off the adhesive foam pads and stick them inside the slot wherever you need a closer fit.

Step 4: Use your phone as needed
Slide your phone into the Hideaway Book. To your child, you are reading.

What is included in the set?
Each box includes two board books.
The Storybook. A 26 page illustrated dragon adventure for your child.
The Hideaway Book. The matching book for you, with a hidden compartment for your phone. Inside you will also find foam inserts and adhesive pads to make a custom fit for your device.
Can I buy the child’s book on its own?
Not yet, but it will be available separately in the future. Right now we think the full two book experience is the most magical (and practical) way to read together.
Will my phone fit?
Your phone will fit if:
- It is 165 mm (6.5 in) or less in height
- 90 mm (3.54 in) or less in width
- And 15 mm (0.59 in) or less in total thickness (including the case and camera bump)
That includes popular models like:
- iPhone 13 to 16 Pro and Pro Max (with slim or MagSafe cases)
- Samsung Galaxy S21 to S25 Ultra
- Pixel 6 to 9 Pro
- Most standard smartphones with cases
Please note: the iPhone 17 Pro Max only fits with the case removed.
What ages is this for?
The Hideaway Book is ideal for parents of babies from newborn to about 14 months, the stage where little ones watch everything you do.
The Storybook is perfect for kids 1 to 5 years old, with art and story made to grow with them.
